1. Introduction
These Terms of Service outline the coverage, limitations, and conditions of Luminellari’s Shipping Insurance and Customs Duty Insurance.
By purchasing either insurance option at checkout, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms set out below.
2. Shipping Insurance Coverage
Shipping Insurance provides protection against loss or damage to your order during transit.
Coverage includes:
- Full reimbursement or replacement of items confirmed by the carrier as lost or damaged
- Coverage applies only while the parcel is in transit
Coverage conditions:
- Loss or damage must be officially confirmed by the shipping carrier
- Claims must be submitted within the required timeframe (see Section 5)
Exclusions:
Shipping Insurance does not cover:
- Delivery delays
- Minor dents or external damage to packaging that do not affect product condition or functionality
- Cosmetic packaging damage only
3. Customs Duty Insurance Coverage
Customs Duty Insurance covers eligible import duties and taxes charged by local customs authorities.
Coverage includes:
- Reimbursement of applicable customs duties or import taxes
- Coverage applies only when charges are collected upon delivery
Coverage conditions:
- The recipient must have been charged directly by customs or the carrier
- Valid official documentation (invoice or receipt) is required
Exclusions:
Customs Duty Insurance does not cover:
- Customs fines or penalties
- Storage, demurrage, or handling fees caused by customs delays
- Charges resulting from incorrect or incomplete customer-provided information
4. General Exclusions (Both Insurances)
The following circumstances are not covered under Shipping Insurance or Customs Duty Insurance:
- Incorrect or incomplete shipping address provided by the customer
- Unclaimed, abandoned, or refused shipments
- Orders confiscated due to prohibited or restricted items under local regulations
- Shipping delays caused by customs clearance procedures
- Force majeure events, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, or government actions
5. Claims Process
Claim submission:
- Claims must be submitted within 90 days from the expected delivery date or payment date (as applicable)
- Claims submitted after this period may not be accepted
Required documentation:
Depending on the claim type, the following may be required:
- Proof of damage (clear photos and/or unboxing video)
- Official carrier confirmation of non-delivery or loss
- Official customs invoice or receipt (for customs duty claims)
Claim resolution:
Approved claims will be resolved via refund, replacement, or reimbursement, at Luminellari’s discretion.
Reimbursements may be issued as store credit or direct refund, depending on the claim type and payment method.
6. Modifications & Termination
Luminellari reserves the right to update, modify, or terminate Shipping Insurance and Customs Duty Insurance services at any time without prior notice.
Any changes will take effect immediately upon publication on our website.
