Luminellaria draws its design roots from a small town in Puglia, in the south of Italy — where the idea first took shape in 2006.
Evenings there move slowly: white stone streets, warm light on balconies, music drifting out of small piazzas. It was in this atmosphere that our first idea took shape - shoes made not only to look beautiful in a photograph, but to feel right through the entire night.
From the start, Luminellaria focused on one thing:
shoes for moments that matter.
Weddings, anniversaries, celebrations, dinners that turn into long conversations - occasions where what you wear should support the memory, not distract from it.
Designed around real moments, not just runways
Luminellaria has always been about more than a seasonal trend.
Each style begins with a specific moment in mind:
a walk down the aisle, a ceremony that runs long, a first dance, an evening that moves from streets to restaurants to a rooftop bar.
For her, that might mean a pair of heels that feels steady on old stone steps and smooth dance floors.
For him, it might be dress shoes that stand through speeches and still feel right when the tie comes off.
We design from the inside out:

A Puglia-inspired sense of occasion
Our design roots in Puglia continue to guide how we think about shoes.
There is a particular kind of elegance in southern Italy:

A new chapter after joining a Hong Kong company
As Luminellaria quietly grew through word of mouth, more customers began carrying our shoes from Puglia to weddings, celebrations and events far beyond Italy. It became clear that the brand needed a way to serve a broader, global audience without losing its original spirit.
In 2017, Luminellaria entered a new chapter when it was acquired by a Hong Kong–based company.
This step allowed us to pair our Puglia-born sense of occasion and silhouette with stronger product development, operations and online capabilities.
Today, our collections are developed with that same focus on special moments, supported by a team that helps us reach customers around the world. The soul of the brand remains the same — shoes designed for life’s brightest moments — now with the structure to bring that promise to more people.
